Before becoming the lead guitarist and vocalist of the Grateful Dead,
Jerry Garcia attended the San Francisco Art Institute. As
his skill as a painter developed, his artistic styles include realism,
surrealism and geometric abstraction. Jerry Garcia died in 1995.
